WASHFORD Hill in Chagford will be closed to through traffic for a period of five days next week while concrete channel work is completed. The temporary closure will commence next Monday, August 14. An alternative route will be operating from Washford Hill to Chagford Bridge via Wallon Cross; Chagford Bridge to Factory Cross, then via Mill Street and the B3206 to Easton (A382) via Sandy Park to Sands Gate Cross, to Withecombe Cross, White Gates Cross and vice versa. l AN overnight road closure will be in place in Sampford Courtenay next week for resurfacing work. The A3124/A3072 from Greenhill Cross to Culm Cross will be closed for three nights from 7pm-7am beginning next Wednesday (August 16). For traffic wanting to get to North Tawton access will be from the A3072 via Newlands, and De Bathe to the town. A diversion will also be running via the A3124 to Winkleigh via the B3220 to Morchard Road; via the A377 to Copplestone and De Bathe to Greenhill Cross and vice versa.
