Whitchurch v Tavistock

HAVING been beaten by Whitchurch in the away fixture in the evening league Tavistock were looking for revenge in the home encounter and did so with a comprehensive victory by 10 wickets.

Whitchurch batting first never got going and were always in serious trouble.

The Tavistock bowling led by James McGahey and Chris Bray soon took early wickets whilst the introduction of Jamie Stephens and Sean Cleave only made matters worse for Whitchurch as they subsided to 48 all out. Cleave took 4-8 and Jamie Stephens 2-7.

Tavistock swiftly put the game to bed by scoring the necessary runs in just 5.3 overs with Sean Cleave making 36 not out to cap a man of the match performance.
