THERE is an ideal opportunity to do some New Year cupboard clearing and snatch up some bargains at the same time at an event being held in Tavistock next month.
The Tavistock branch of the National Childbirth Trust is holding a table top sale at the Methodist Chapel Hall in Chapel Street on Saturday March 23, when children's clothes, toys, books, nursery equipment and maternity clothes will all be on offer.
Tables cost just £5 each — all money raised will go towards supporting the work of the National Childbirth Trust.
Ellen Stuart of Tavistock NCT said: 'The Trust's aim is to help all parents have an experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood that enriches their lives and gives them confidence in being a parent.
'The NCT work at this locally by offering high quality ante-natal classes and by organising a programme of events for parents to join which provides mutual support and friendship.'
