SEVENTY-seven people, plus 35 classic cars, stayed at the Bedford Hotel in Tavistock as part of the Falmouth Rotary Classic Car Tour.
Many of the cars and drivers came down from the famous Goodwood Revival at the weekend and stayed until the following Thursday.
The car tour spent three days touring Dartmoor and North Devon. Cars battled wet weather, but it didn't dampen drivers' spirits as they battled on throughout last week's autumnal beginning. In all, 30 cars took part in the tour, including the attached Bentley/Rolls Royce collaboration — a one-off as a result of a particular special client.
Cars also included several Jaguar E-types, a TR6 and TR5, as well as classic Mercedes and MGBs.
Organiser Peter Griffiths invited the mayor of West Devon, Cllr Bill Cann, to flag the cars off on their tour from the Bedford Hotel car park on Monday morning.
Cllr Cann is pictured with the mayoress, his wife, Christine.
