A PRINCETOWN resident was the lucky winner of the trolley dash draw organised by the Rotary Club of Tavistock.
The dash took place at Morrisons supermarket in Tavistock, on January 12, where Claire Trewin was given the chance to spend £250 worth of food in a three minute dash around the store.
Claire, who works with special needs children escorting them to Milford School near Ernesettle, went for joints of meat and premium ice cream — items she normally could not afford.
Rotary president John Moreton said: 'With only a thousand tickets on sale, the chances of winning were greater than many other lotteries.'
He thanked those who bought tickets and Morrisons for allowing the event to take place.
The profit from this will be added to the club's charity fund to enable it to continue to support good causes at home and abroad.
