CHURCHES throughout Britain have set up a national relief fund for farmers hit by the foot and mouth crisis.

The fund is appealing for donations from businesses and individuals and will be administered by the Arthur Rank Centre in Warwickshire.

Requests for help will be channelled through farm crisis network groups, agricultural chaplains and farming union officers.
