EVERYONE took a shine to the illuminations on Friday when the Christmas lights were switched on in Callington for the festive period. There were carol singers, belting out traditional favourites, backed with the musical accompaniment of Callington Town Band in the town square.

... And yes the man himself, Father Christmas, despite a very busy schedule, met some very excited children. Also getting into the swing were the town traders who dressed up in Victorian costume.
