I ALWAYS read with interest the messages in your weekly ?Reflections? column. Each time, we hear from one of the church leaders.

In January, 2003, during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, I read that the quest for unity among Christians is not an optional search. Moreover, our unity needs to be demonstrated so that the community sees ?churchgoers? no longer as Anglican, Catholic or Free Church, but simply as Christian.

We are often encouraged to: ?Think globally and not locally?. Soon we shall be given the opportunity to do just that when Christian Aid Week takes place, May 11-17.

Christian Aid is the official relief and development agency of 40 church denominations in the UK and Ireland. but while this agency is inspired by the gospel it is not just for Christians.

There will be a meeting for all those interested in taking part in the national fundraising event in May. Readers, please give your support and join us at 12, Leaholes Avenue, Okehampton at 3pm on April 7.
