THE annual Gulworthy 'Beating the Bounds' walk will take place this Saturday, starting from the Copper Penny at Chipshop at 8am.
All are invited to join the Rev Michael Brierley and his supporters for the 16-mile stride around the parish boundary. It is possible to join or leave the group at various places en route.
There will be a lunch break at Gawton at noon.
The less energetic can enjoy a gentle stroll at 4.30pm from the Foundry, Wheal Maria, returning for tea and a short informal service at 5.30pm. There will be a collection for Christian Aid. For more information contact 01822 832396.
On Sunday everyone is invited to bring along their pets to the annual Animal Blessing Service in St Paul's Church Gulworthy at 11.15am.
This informal event is specially aimed at children and families and in previous years has hosted a surprising range of creatures great or small.
