A FREE dog micro-chipping afternoon is on offer on March 28 in Callington Pannier Market.

The initiative is being offered by Callington Town Council, Cornwall Council and the Dog's Trust to try to microchip as many dogs as possible.

This service normally costs up to £20, and from 2016 will be a legal requirement.

The afternoon will run from 1pm to 4pm and no booking is required, interested people can just turn up on the day.

A small donation to the Dog's Trust would be appreciated but is not compulsory.
