FIRE crews were called to a chimney fire involving a wood burner on Monday morning.

The crew from Tavistock requested the help of another crew from the town at the property in Mill Lane Tavistock, just after 10am.

Crews attempted to stop the spread of fire to the roof using a triple extension ladder, one hose reel jet and cut away slates from the roof.
