CHILDREN at Milton Abbot Primary School have recently completed a successful curriculum enrichment week.
This year the theme was 'Africa'. Year 6 children took the lead in planning, organising and running the sessions for mixed age groups.
Over the four days of the event, all the pupils had a chance to investigate aspects of Africa through hands-on making and doing.
The main aspects covered were culture, music, food, art and water — and even the World Cup had a mention!
The event proved a fun way to promote learning in a cross-curricular way.
More enrichment weeks are planned for the future.
All the staff at Milton Abbot have said a big 'thank you and well done' to the year 6 leaders at the school.
