AN appeal was this week issued to anyone in the Tavistock area who has attended antenatal classes run by the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) during the last 50 years. The Plymouth and West Devon branch of the NCT, which covers Tavistock, Yelverton and Horrabridge, is holding a celebratory tea party to celebrate its 50th birthday and hopes anyone who has been involved in its classes in the past will come along. The event takes place at Woolwell Community Centre this Saturday, May 20, from 2pm until 4pm ? there will be cream teas on offer for adults, drinks and snacks for the youngsters and plenty of games and competitions, face painting a quiz and a raffle. The tea party is also open to current members of the NCT. Tickets are £2.50 to include refreshments ? admission is free for children.
