A WEST Devon-based children?s holiday charity is on a quest to find a new home. The charity CHICKS left its rented property in Milton Abbot at the end of August and moved into offices opposite the Arundell Arms in Lifton. It was waiting until the sale on its new property at Cross Green went through but at the last minute the deal collapsed and another property had to be found. They found one near Boyton but again the sale fell through and CHICKS were left high, dry and nestless. Tracy Izod, CHICKS? head of fundraising said: ?Locally based charity CHICKS have moved into temporary offices in Lifton as the quest to find a new home for the charity goes on. ?This year has been very busy with all of the children staying at Coastal Retreat, our centre near Par. Last month, three children from St Giles on the Heath Primary School enjoyed a fabulous week down there and the thank you card we received from the school?s teachers and pupils was brilliant.?
