A GROUP of bikers from across the country enjoyed a weekend at Okehampton Youth Hostel recently, while raising money for two charities close to their hearts.

Hospiscare in Devon and the National Association for Bikers with a Disability received around £320 between them from organiser Janice Elson. The money was raised from a barbecue evening with live music and a bike ride across Dartmoor the following day, which will now be held as an annual event.

The two charities expressed thanks to John Elson and the Youth Hostel staff for their hard work and for use of their premises.
