OKEHAMPTON and District Lions Club raised a grand total of £241 by holding a raffle for a mountain bike. The bike, kindly donated by Wackey?s Trikes Ltd of Okehampton, was raffled in Red Lion Yard, Okehampton on Saturday, August 5. The raffle was held in aid of Children?s Hospice South West and will be added to the amount raised from the Lions charity golf day to be held on September 1, at Okehampton Golf Club. Mayor of Okehampton Cllr Frances Luxton kindly drew the winning number, which was selected by Ted Cann of Exeter Road, Okehampton. The Lions would like to thank all those who kindly supported the draw.
