OKEHAMPTON motorcycle enthusiast Cameron Slater is pictured showing off the customised motorbike he has generously donated to be auctioned to raise funds for the Cavitron Fund.
The money raised from the sale of the customised chrome-plated bike which is valued at around £5,000, will go towards helping the charity to reach its goal of raising enough money to buy a cutting edge piece of equipment for Derriford Hospital?s neurosurgery unit.
Cameron is pictured with founder of the Cavitron Fund Michael Turner and Okehampton fund-raiser Edna Hicks.
The charity has a number of fund-raising events taking place in the area in the coming weeks.
This Saturday, August 21, a ?toddle around the park? sponsor appeal in Simmons Park is taking place at 11am.
A car boot sale at Butts Park on Saturday, August 28, and a table top sale at Sourton Village Hall on Saturday, September 25, are also planned.
A special carvery dinner for the charity is also taking place at The Countryman, Sampford Courtenay on September 10.
