THIS month there will be a number of improvements to the little red Tavistock Country Bus service.
The town service, number 116, will have an extra journey every Tuesday to Safeway. This will leave the community bus stop in Bedford Square at 9.41am, with the return from outside Safeway at 11.37am.
Service number 113 to Newton Abbot, which runs on the first and third Wednesday of every month, will now serve Horrabridge and Yelverton.
The bus will leave Horrabridge, opposite Chapel Close, at 9.25am, Yelverton shelter at 9.30am and Dousland at 9.33am, arriving at Newton Abbott market at 10.39am. The return journey leaves Newton at 2pm. Return fare is £3.90, half-price for children.
The Totnes and Paignton service, number 134, will also divert in Horrabridge to stop opposite Chapel Close at 9.27am on the fourth Saturday of the month, as well as on the main road. The full day service leaves Paignton at 4.30pm and costs £4.80 return.
