Tavistock AFC U18s 2 Plymstock Utd Colts 1 THIS match lived up to its title decider billing with both sides creating numerous chances. Plymstock settled the quickest and took a deserved early lead after only seven minutes. A good one-touch move down through the middle of the park was finished off by a Plymstock striker. Both sides continued to put tremendous effort in but the score remained 1-0 at half-time. The second half began with Tavistock putting Plymstock under pressure. This paid off when Aaron Rockey equalised with a well placed goal ten minutes into the restart. The home team grew in confidence and kept hold of the ball better. A change of formation led to Alex Cuthbert and Alex Lowe being introduced, and it was the latter who managed to finish a good move to score Tavistock's second goal. Plymstock were by no means finished and continued to play good football. But non-stop running up front by Sean Cleave, Jordan Williams and Chris Bray ensured that they did not have it all their own way. And the Tavistock midfield's work rate was first class with Aaron Rockey, Euan McCall (captain) and Chris Hutchins all having great games with Hutchins winning the opponents' man of the match award. The Tavistock defence, well marshalled by Robbie Court, stood firm and held onto this slender lead to record the victory and Horsham League title at the same time.
