WEST Devon painter and print maker Heidi Koenig is helping to build on the Duchy Square Centre for Creativity's international reputation by taking part in The Affordable Art Fair (AAF) in Milan.
A resident artist at the centre, Heidi — whose prints and paintings are inspired by Devon's amazing countryside and beaches — has a number of new works on display at the prestigious fair which runs from February 3 to 6.
The Milan event is the leading showcase internationally for contemporary art under £5,000 and more than 9,000 visitors are expected at the venue — the Superstudio Piu in Zona Zortona.
It features work from more than 60 galleries, both from Italy and abroad, and is aimed at those who have never purchased art before, as well as experienced art lovers seeking out new talent.
Heidi, who lives in Tavistock, said: 'This will be the first time I have exhibited work in the Affordable Art Fair in Milan and it will be interesting to see how my work is received there.
'My only disappointment is that I am so busy at the moment I won't be able to attend.'
In January, Heidi's work was also on display at the Art London event held at the Business Design Centre.
She has also donated one of her works to a forthcoming art auction at Calcot Manor, Gloucestershire that is part of the British Heart Foundation's Mending Broken Hearts fundraising campaign.
Heidi joined Duchy Square as a resident artist in October last year to develop her skills as a print maker. She is no stranger to the centre as her vibrant contemporary abstract prints and paintings have been on display in the centre's main gallery.
