TAVISTOCK Ladies Luncheon Club recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and is now looking forward to more happy years to come.

The club marked its 50th year last month at an annual meeting at The Bedford Hotel.

Tavistock Ladies Luncheon Club already has a varied and exciting programme in place for the next 12 months with several local speakers and some from further afield, including John Pilkington who is often heard on the radio reliving his solo journeys to remote places.

As a present to itself, the club purchased a PA system to ensure every speaker can be appreciated.

Tavistock Ladies Luncheon Club is always happy to welcome new members.

Anyone wanting to join should meet at the Bedford Hotel at noon on the last Thursday of each month.
