WHETHER you like running or simply spectating there are two separate assaults on Cawsand Beacon for your entertainment this weekend.
On Saturday you can race to the top — climbing 1,150ft in four miles — by putting your best foot forward from the Sticklepath Finch Foundry car park at 2pm. This muscle-taxing run costs £3.50 to enter and the cash goes to local village funds.
Founder organiser Phil Haygarth, who grew up in the Dales and was a fell runner, revitalised the Belstone run in 1993 and founded the Sticklepath version three years later.
'It is good to watch and great to partake in. Anyone over 14 years is welcome,' he said.
