FOR their bottle auction this year, Horrabridge Cavaliers joined forces with village pub the London Inn. Heidi and Mike, licensees of the London Inn are looking forward to hosting this major village event for the first time.

The event will be held in the inn on Friday December 17, starting at 7.30pm, and all proceeds will go towards good causes in and around the village.

This will be the seventh successive year that the Cavaliers have held their auction, and in that time they have raised well over £4,000 for distribution to good causes.

Such has been the increasing popularity of the event, that the Cavaliers are hoping to raise more than £1,000 from the auction this year.

Rob Hitchcock, Vice –chairman of the Cavaliers, who is responsible for organising this year's auction, said: 'The residents in the village are always very generous in donating bottles, and we hope there will be a record crowd in the London Inn for the event '
