THE award-winning Rame Peninsula Male Voice Choir will perform in a special concert in Tavistock this Saturday to raise funds for the Children?s Hospice South West.
The concert will be the last performance for the choir, holders of the China Clay Perpetual Challenge Cup, before they leave for a tour of Ireland.
The choir are giving their services free at the concert ? all profits from tickets will go to the children?s hospice.
The concert on Saturday May 24 will be held at Tavistock Methodist Church, starting at 7pm.
Tickets on the door are £3.50 ? £3 for senior citizens and children. Doors open at 6pm.
l A GALA evening will be held in Tavistock on June 3 when the Plymouth Congress Hall Band performs at the United Reformed Church in Russell Street.
The event is being staged by the Tavistock Salvation Army Corps.
Spokesman Bramwell Hughes said: ?This will be the last public meeting in the United Reformed Church, prior to removal of the pews and refurbishment ? this is an opportunity for a last nostalgic visit for those with fond memories of the existing building.?
