A TAVISTOCK lady is looking for the owner of a black and white cat she found in Bannawell Street park last week. Geri Laithwaite said she was at the park with her family on Wednesday evening (July 30) at around 8pm and the small cat was watching them play. It then followed them home. Geri said: 'She followed us all the way home, which I was worried about because we had to cross a main road. I put her safely in our shed for the evening and took her to the vets in the morning.' She said the cat had no chip and the vet predicted she was around four years old, although she looks quite small like a kitten. 'I have put up notices around the park but no-one has come forward,' Geri said. She said you could see where a collar had been, but there was no collar on the cat, and Geri presumed it had either been taken and the cat abandoned, or it had fallen off somewhere.
