Cash to combat violence

TAVISTOCK Lions have donated £200 to the West Devon Domestic Violence Unit to help in their vital work tackling the problem of domestic violence.

WPC Dawn McCormick, West Devon Domestic Violence Officer, said the Lions? charitable donation represented a step forward in assisting the police to achieve the aims of the recently published Devon Domestic Violence Strategy.

She said the money would be put to practical use to help reduce repeat

offences, increase the level of support for victims, and reduce the overall level of domestic violence.
