RESIDENTS are being warned to lock their doors overnight after a burglary in Callington in which jewellery, cash and bank documents were stolen. The crime occurred between 7pm on December 9 and 4am the following morning at Westover Road. Some £300 in cash was taken, together with car keys, a Nokia mobile phone, a small-linked silver necklace with blue stones, a 12" by 9" black leather handbag with twin handles made from multicoloured square beads, driving documents and bank books. The crime reference number is BN/06/789. Callington police would also like information on the following crimes: the theft of a granite mushroom, valued at £100, from a front garden in Commercial Street, Gunnislake between 9pm on December 4 and 8am on December 5 (crime ref BN/06 778); the theft of a partly constructed blue and yellow Aprilia motorcycle from the forecourt of a residence in Kelly Bray on December 2/3 (crime ref BN/06/783) and criminal damage to a house in Newport, Callington — a ground floor window was smashed and mud thrown through the letter box in the early hours of December 12 (crime ref BN/06/791).
