A Carers' forum is to be held on November 20 at Upper Hall, Tavistock Methodist Church.

All carers and those working in the care sector are invited to attend the forum, hosted by South Devon Carers Consortium.

Devon County Council has handed over control of its residential care services to Shaw Healthcare and representatives of both bodies will be speaking about the new arrangements.

There will also be representatives from Devon Link and Carers+ to talk about the services they offer.

Karen Pettipiece who is the new carers link development officer for South Devon Carers Consortium said she hopes 'carers will take the opportunity to meet other carers and carers' representatives.'
