THE long trip to Axminster for the Chagford second team ended quickly as the Axminster side were bundled out for just 32 in18.3 overs.
Experienced bowlers Ken Moss and Steve Sizmur caused all the damage, finishing with 6-3 and 4-29 without any extras. This represented the best figures of Ken"s long career in local cricket and Sizmur has bowled consistently throught the season whether in the second or first teams as well as making useful runs.
Chagford took the their time to get the runs, with both Tim Butler and Billy Searle not out 15 to give Chagford and easy nine wicket vistory.
Chagford skipper Simon Snell pronounced himself pleased with finishing top of the table and promotion to second division D paying tribute to youngsters Billy Searle and Paul Penberthy, who had shown such improvement during the season.
