YOUR report (February 13) on the introduction of Give Cyclists Space car stickers prompts me to mention a most laudable practice that is becoming increasingly prevalent.
More drivers are signalling right when about to overtake a cyclist. Some take the added precaution of dropping well back on narrow roads when other traffic is approaching in the opposite direction, then pass well to the right when there is adequate clearance.
In this part of the country the same care and courtesy ? and attention to the highway code ? is always well received by equestrians. Injuries received when horse riding can be no less severe than those obtained when cycling.
