A CAR was on fire on the exit slip road of the A30 at Whiddon Down last Thursday afternoon.

Fire crews from Okehampton and North Tawton attended to extinguish the blaze. The crews confirmed it was an accidental fire and used two hose reel jets with two breathing apparatus wearers to put it out. The vehicle was severely damaged.
