MEMBERS from the Tamar Canoe Association took to the water in Cornwall over the bank holiday weekend and witnessed an unusual sight. As usual the team, including four members from the Tavistock and Gunnislake area, were followed by seals but on returning to the mainland two dolphins surfaced alongside them (pictured left). The pair started to play with a dead flatfish and circled the canoes for approximately half an hour, during which time one of the members, John Keady, managed to take some pictures. Mr Keady said: 'It was an experience of a lifetime being in the company of wild dolphins playing around and with us.' Tamar Canoe Association welcomes any new members.
