BOTH sides found it hard to play constructive football on a fast pitch and few chances were created in the first half which was shaded by Northlew.
The second half saw Lamerton push forward but again neither keeper was seriously troubled. Northlew took the lead when a defensive mix-up saw Pete Daniel beaten at his right hand post, but Lamerton bounced back immediately when Graham Cole smashed in an equaliser.
Lamerton began to assert control and Sean Cann slid the ball past the keeper for a hard earned winner.
This Thursday Lamerton play Looe in the divisional cup final at Callington 6.30pm kick-off. On Saturday they are at home to Lewdown ko 2.30pm amd on Sunday they play Bere Alston Reserves in the Chairman?s Cup Final, kick-off 2.30pm.
