THE Advent gift service was held at Tamar Valley Methodist Church on Sunday. The preacher was the Rev David Stolton, of Delaware.

At the start of the service, it being the third Sunday in Advent, the three candles were lit, with an appropriate reading.

The lessons were read by Mrs Grace Stewart and Mrs Wendy Dore. The organist was Mrs Gundula Luke.

Following the service coffee was served in the adjoining hall.
