PEOPLE who have been wondering what to do with unused or old candles are being asked to donate them to the Milton Abbot Candles Appeal.

Around 5kg of candle wax has been collected so far, but more is wanted.

The collected candles are melted down and filtered to remove the old wick.

All colours and shapes are gladly taken, so anyone who would like to recycle their old candles is asked to drop them into the marked box just inside the main entrance of Milton Abbot Church.
