THE Rising Sun Inn in Gunnislake is holding a charity auction on Saturday (June 29) for Cancer Research in support of local resident Shelley Barber, a cancer sufferer who took part in the recent Race For Life event, despite her own condition.

Local people have donated unique items, with framed artworks by artists Ian Pethers and Gill Mannings-Cox. Other items include a car service, donated by local garage owner Chris Venning, and some interesting cottage teapots. A golf day is also included.

There will be items for all pockets, including fabulous home-made cakes and fare.?

The evening starts at 7.30pm.
