VOLUNTEERS and people who are having to isolate and need help are being urged to come forward and register with Calstock Parish Council.
Parish clerk Sue Lemon said it had become evident was that there were a lot of people in the parish who were slipping through the net.
‘If anyone can help us identify these people it would be a great help,’ she said. ‘Not everyone who is vulnerable is on the system.’
People are being asked to leave a message with their name, address and contact number and permission to share their details with an appropriately placed volunteer.
‘We will be asking some of our ward members to check in on people (using phone and or email where necessary),’ said Sue. ‘Equally if you can help please let us know so that we can pass on your details.
‘We may need people to pick up and deliver goods (prescriptions/basic groceries) or it may be that you are a great organiser and would take on the co-ordination of support required in your immediate area.
