ONE fire appliance from North Tawton was called to a flat in Butts Way on Sunday morning, following reports of flooding in the property.

On arrival, fire crews confirmed electrics in a ground floor flat had been affected by water coming from a flat above. Crews isolated the water and electricity supplies and left the incident in the hands of the occupants.

l Fire crews successfully extinguished a chimney fire at Albury Cottages in Sampford Courtenay last Friday evening.

The fire, which involved a log burner, was extinguished by crews using small tools and chimney gear.
