THE organisers of a silent vigil against the war on Iraq are appealing for as many people as possible to join them in Chagford Square on Saturday.
Chagford Stop the War Coalition is holding the vigil for one hour at 11am and invites people to bring a candle or a night light. A spokesperson said: ?Please come and join the vigil and sign the petition.?
On Sunday the group is holding a peace meeting at Endicott House, Chagford at 7.30pm. ?There is a lot we, as an extended community, can do,? said the spokesperson. Both events will be repeated each weekend while the threat of war remains.
