THE start of the New Year is a time for resolutions and what better way to start a fresh chapter than by volunteering your services for the benefit of the Okehampton community? The Museum of Dartmoor Life is searching for four volunteers to work an initial three to four months with the museum's collection. The volunteers will be responsible for researching, identifying and assessing objects that would be suitable for the collection together with understanding on how best to support them with the right materials and equipment. A training day, being held in conjunction with the Royal Albert Museum in Exeter, is planned for Thursday February 28 from 10am to 4pm with lunch included at the museum on Fore Street, Okehampton.
