A TAVISTOCK youth group is on the look out for new instructors to join its organisation. Tavistock Detachment of The Devon Army Cadet Force needs some new adult recruits to help run the detachment based at the TA centre at Crelake. The ACF is a youth organisation sponsored by the British Army offering a wide range of activities and opportunities for young people aged between 12 and 18, including military based skills, adventure training, community service and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme. Adult instructors parade twice a week at the detachment and provide training and leadership to Cadets. They also take part in all other ACF activities including camps and adventurous activities. Adult instructors are drawn from a wide range of backgrounds and the only criteria required is a desire to work with and help young people. A spokesman for B Company ACF said: 'We are seeking men and women aged between 18 and 50 prepared to give up two evenings a week and also take part in weekend camps and activities. 'While some instructors have previous military experience or have served as army cadets, many have no such experience. Adult instructors receive full training and access to a wide variety of training courses.
