THROUGHOUT March and April, South West Lakes Trust is hosting a number of bushcraft and survival courses at Burrator Reservoir.
The courses, run by Craig Grant, an experienced and qualified instructor, will promote and provide positive outdoor learning experience for all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
The courses, which start at £35 per person, range from one day introductory courses to two day courses aimed at all people wishing to step out of the modern world and experience an extended period outdoors.
Craig also runs parent/guradian and child bushcraft days made to provide an exciting, creative and adventurous experience within a wild, natural environment.
Participants are shown a number of ancient bushcraft skills, including flint knapping, wild foods, fire skills, shelter building, wilderness cooking, safe use of cutting tools and much more.
Craig will also be running guided walks at Burrator throughout the year costing £10 per person.
These one day guided walks will teach participants about the hidden history of flaura and fawna found in the areas surrounding the reservoir.
Participants will be shown wild foods and other useful plants, and much more. Both adults and children will love experiencing the fascinating world of bushcraft.
