USERS of Devon County Council's sensory bus have this week been warned of a temporary change in the regular timetable of visits to Tavistock.

As the bus is off the road for a short while for repairs, the sensory team's visit to the town will be held at Tavistock Area Support Services (TASS) headquarters at the Anchorage Centre today (Thursday).

Anne Humphreys, a member of the adult and community services sensory team, said: 'We normally park in the Square in Tavistock between 10.30am and 3.30pm on Thursdays — it's a static resource bus and we usually see around 35 people during the day — it's really busy.

'People come to the bus to borrow equipment regarding sight and hearing impairmment, we re-tune hearing aids, provide information etc.'

Anne said the team will be based in the computer room on the first floor at the Anchorage Centre between 10.30am and 3.30pm for today's visit.

'There is a lift and a rest room and it's accessible for people with mobility problems,' said Anne.
