A YEAR of fundraising has come to an end for the Hair Bare Bunch. To celebrate, the bunch held a grand finale disco, where they presented a cheque for £1,677 to Nikki Bitton, who lost one of her legs in an accident. The bunch also presented Jackie Weatherston, from Bere Valley Playgroup, with a scanner for the children. The playgroup has also been given a digital camera and climbing frame. The Hair Bare Bunch has had a busy time throughout the year with jumble sales, car boot sales, Easter and Hallowe?en make and do parties for the children, carol singing with Father Christmas and a quiz night. All the committee expressed thanks to everyone who has supported the bunch?s events over the years. For the next 12 months the group will be raising money for the Devon Air Ambulance.
