OKEHAMPTON College has expressed thanks to a building consultancy for the support the company offered during its continued energy saving developments.
The Times last week featured details of the energy projects happening in the college, local primary schools and the wider community.
The college has been fortunate to find a local expert willing to sponsor its developments, Tim Capps, of Oxenham Building Consultancy, based in South Tawton.
Five primary schools and the college will all benefit from solar panel installations thanks to the consultancy — Tim Capps helped the primary schools get their planning permission. He drew their designs and access statement and heritage statement.
He also did a lot for free and donated his time and expertise to the college.College principal Daryll Chapman said: 'The college is very fortunate to have the assistance of Tim Capps.
'As a consequence of his help the students are about to see some exciting changes and opportunities. Tim is also helping with some ambitious projects beyond the college that will benefit the entire community.
'These range from new facilities to renewable energy systems. Every school could benefit from this kind of community sponsor.'
