CHILDREN from Hatherleigh Community School were thrilled, when the builders of the new care village in Hatherleigh stepped in to save their playground project. D R Jones, from Yeovil, provided a team of builders for free to complete the installation of equipment purchased with national lottery funding. School governor Pearl Devaney said: 'We were very fortunate to raise over £20,000 towards the purchase of activity apparatus, adventure trail and renovation of the playground but unfortunately the funds ran out before we could complete the project. 'It is thanks to PSP Healthcare, Nick and the team at D R Jones, who are currently building the much needed care village in Hatherleigh, that our playground was finished, which is wonderful for our children. Their playground is now a fun place to be and in time for summer.' Senior project manager from D R Jones, Nick Hewitt, said: 'We take our corporate social hospitality very seriously and are privileged to work with and support the local community we work in. 'The smiles on the children's faces make it even more worthwhile.'
