I REGULARLY visit my family in your area and recently read an article in the Okehampton Times entitled 'Bridlepath could bring cash boost'. This related to the dangers of the A3079 and the opening of the adjacent railway line as a bridlepath/cycle way.
I think to open this railway track up as a bridlepath/cycle track would be a very good idea and certainly would encourage tourism in the area. I have seen this road get busier over the years and agree it is very dangerous for everyone, including motorists, to have horses or cyclists riding along.
This railway track would be a good link to other bridepaths and cycle tracks. Where I am living we have a bridlepath running alongside a cycle path so that one does not interfere with the other and everyone is safe.
