OKEHAMPTON Ladies? golf members entertained Bude ladies for a friendly match.
A greensomes competition was played in dry and breezy conditions with the home side winning 4 1/2 to 1/2. Par golf was the format of the day last Wednesday with two bronze division ladies reducing their handicap in this demanding and close fought competition.
Maureen Howe and Shirley Stunnell both finished one under par, +1, Maureen (now 34 handicap) winning on the back 9 from Shirley, now 31 handicap. The silver division had three ladies finishing on 2 over par, -1. They were Kath Mansell, winning on the back 9, Cherry James, second on the back 6 and Dawn Phillott.
