TWO fire crews, one from Hatherleigh and one from Torrington, attended a report of a microwave on fire at West Lane in Winkleigh at 4.45pm on Saturday.
The crews extinguished the small fire using one hose reel jet, two breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera. They requested an ambulance for two adults who were suffering from smoke inhalation and the two casualties were treated using oxygen therapy.
At another incident at Townsend Hill in Winkleigh on Saturday afternoon, one fire crew from North Tawton attended a car fire.
The car was well alight when they arrived at 4.16pm and the crew used two sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze. The car was severely damaged by the fire.
