AS money was being raised across the country for Children in Need last Friday, the New Inn, Sampford Courteney, hosted its own fundraising events.

The money raising efforts included a 12-hour pool tournament, a swear box, and a brave Ashley Knott having his legs, chest and eyebrow waxed for the cause.

The New Inn had a successful evening and raised £381.81 for Children in Need.
